SHOOTING DISCIPLINES
At CRPC (CIC) we shoot the following small-bore .22 calibre rimfire and air discipline’s
Prone – Shot over 25 yards, 50 metres and 100 yards. This is led down using a shooting jacket and support sling with ‘open sights’
Benchrest – Shot over 25 yards, 50 metres and 100 yards. This is sat at a bench with front rests, typically using the same style or similar type of rifle that is used for prone match shooting, but with the addition of a telescopic sighting system.
Lightweight Sporting Rifle (LSR) – Shot over 25 metres, 25 yards, 50 metres. As the name suggests these are often lighter rifles as they are shot in the standing position with no form of support other than you and your body. These are often magazine fed rifles in either bolt action or semi-automatic actions.
Long Barrel Pistol (LBP) – Shot primarily over 20 yards on our outdoor range. This is shot in the standing position using either a one or two handed hold, with iron or red dot sights.
Air Rifle – Shot on our indoor 10 meter and 25 metre range or our outdoor 50 metre and 100 yard range. We typically shoot benchrest but also offer 3 position as well as a small selection of knock down targets.
Full Bore – Although we are unable to shoot full bore at CRPC (CIC) ranges we arrange visits at Bisley for these shoots. We typically shoot .308 / 7.62mm at 300 yards, 600 yards, 900 yards, 1000 yards and 1200 yards.
