Anyone wishing to become a Firearms member must be age 11 or over and meet the criteria associate with owning firearms and ammunition set at out in the Firearms Act.

All rim fire applicants must undertake a probation period of training and monitoring consisting of a minimum of 3 months. This is a legal requirement set out by the Home Office. After this period, and assuming you have been deemed as safe to handle firearms, you will then be invited to join as a full member. If you are restricted from owning a firearm you will not be able to join the club, all membership applications will be subject to Police vetting.

If you are a member of another Home Office approved shooting club you can apply to become a full member without having to undertake the 3 month probationary course, this will be subject to satisfactory references from your club officials and a very short firearms safe handling assessment on your first visit.

Anyone wishing to become a Air only member, must be age 11 or over and will be required to attend a short probation lasting a couple of hours. You will then be a ‘probationary’ member until you have attended and shot at the club at least 8 times.
